1 (8 oz.) package mushrooms
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water

Instructions


1. Cut the flat iron steak into 1-inch cubes.
2. In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper.
3. Place the steak cubes in the flour mixture and toss to coat.
4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
5. Add the steak cubes to the skillet and cook until browned, about 2 minutes per side.
6. Transfer the steak cubes to the crock pot.
7. Add the onion, mushrooms and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
8. Transfer the vegetables to the crock pot.
9. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the steak and vegetables.
10. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4 hours.
11. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and cold water.
