  • 8 ounces sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces rice noodles
  • 2 cups bean sprouts, for topping
  • 2 limes, quartered, for topping
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped, for topping
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped, for topping
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped, for topping
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced, for topping

Instructions

1. Set the Instant Pot to the sauté setting. Once it is hot, add the oil and onion and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the onion is softened. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute.

2. Add the fish sauce, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, star anise, cloves, and cinnamon sticks. Stir to combine and cook for 1 minute.

3. Add the beef broth and stir to combine. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and set it to Manual High Pressure for 10 minutes.

4. When the cook time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes. Quick release any remaining pressure.

5. Add the noodles and stir to combine. Place the lid back on the Instant Pot and set it to Manual High Pressure for 3 minutes.

6. When the cook time is complete, quick release the pressure.

7. Ladle the soup into bowls, top with the steak, bean sprouts, lime wedges, cilantro, basil, mint, and jalapeno pepper slices. Enjoy!
